Concealers are used to cover small breakouts and dark circles under the eyes. They can be used on a clean face or with foundation. If you are using a powder foundation, apply concealer both before and after. If you are using a liquid foundation, apply concealer first, but be careful not to rub it off when blending in the foundation.

Correctors are different from concealers because they not only hide the problem, but also neutralize unwanted color differences in the face. Often, it's better to correct the problem before adding another color on top. Highlighters are perfect for adding glow and “waking up” the skin. It's also a wonderful way to add a little life to your makeup. • Under the brow: Apply highlighter under the brow and just above the arch to make your eyes appear larger. • Apples of the cheeks: If you want a healthy glow as part of a more “contoured” look, add a small amount of highlighter to the center of the apples of the cheeks.• Bridge of the nose: It works really well to use contour around the nose. Use a highlighter along the bridge of the nose and use a darker color on the sides of the nose to make it appear slimmer.If you want the bridge of your nose to appear wider: Instead, apply highlighter to the sides of the nose.• Inner corner of the eye: Add a little highlighter to the inner corner of the eye to brighten dark areas. • Cheekbones: To define the cheekbones, apply highlighter in a diagonal line from just below the center of the eye socket up to the hairline and blend. • Cupid's bow: Give your lipstick a boost by applying a little highlighter to the cupid's bow.• Center of the eyelid: A touch of highlighter on the center of the eyelid will make your eyes appear larger.
